Honey I'm Home!

Hey everyone, I'm back!

I honestly thought that I would be gone for a longer period of time, but I'm starting to get itchy to be writing again. You see March was a rough month for me in the health department.  But, I'm better now, well mostly anyway. LOL.

I also have to tell you that I was a little disappointed in the activity level of my first Tuesday Trivia. Come on guys, are you telling me you couldn't think of any answers?  I have a hard time believing that.  None the less, I have decided that posting twice a week is going to be a little too much for my schedule these days anyway, so I'm going back to my usual Thursday posting days starting this week.  I hope to see you all here then.

In the mean time for those of you who are curious as to the answer to the trivia question, the question was:

Under which name did American author Samuel Langhorne Clemens write?

And the answer is? Drum roll please:  Mark Twain.

I hope to see you all here Thursday, when the posting begins!

Vacation Time

No, I'm sorry to say it's not the fun kind where you get to sit in the sun and swim in the pool.  It's virtual vacation time, where you don't see me blogging for a while.  You see this last week I've gotten what ever bug has been floating around and it has it me like a hard.  It has helped me look at the stressful things in my life and getting a blog out once a week is stress on top of writing and life.  Sorry about Trivia Tuesdays, they will be back when I come back.

For those who did venture a answer, which sadly wasn't many. Thank you Lisa for giving it you all!  Feel proud because you are so right Mark Twain is the right answer!  Congratulations and enjoy the powering feeling of rightness!

As for the rest of my blog, I will be back.  In the mean time feel free to read past blogs, and I promise I will be out there commenting on you blogs.  I'm not gone, just not posting at this time.

Happy blogging and thank for following. I'll be back as soon as I can.

Trvia Tuesdays

I'm starting to get a few more followers and in honor of that I wanted to start to do something fun for you.  (BTW) Thank you all so much for following, I love having you here.  I hope you spread the word.

In honor of you I have been racking my brain these last few weeks trying to find something light and fun to send your way.  I know you all love hearing me ramble about my crazy puppy Rascal and all of his antics, and I know my kid stories touch your heart and some times make you laugh, but once in a while everyone in life needs to spice things up.

A lot of ideas have crossed my mind.  I know that many people have contests, some have poems, some have what if questions and post the results but to be honest even though I love to particiate in all of those, my schedule does not give me time to add up all the tallies and post them on top of posting my usual posts. (Did that even make sense?)  Anyway, still I wanted to do something fun.  So I decided to have Trivia Tuesday.

Here how it works.  Every Tuesday I will post a question.  It is up to you to answer it in the comments section.  The following Tuesday I will post the answer and I will post all of your answers.  I think it will be fun to see all the different guesses we get.  Now, there is no prizes, it's strictly for fun. So I hope you join in.

Okay the first Trivia Tuesday question is:  Drum roll please:

Under which name did American author Samuel Langhorne Clemens write?  Please post your answer in the comments

Bye, Bye Winter

The island near our cabin that got flooded with last springs rains

As we enter the month of March I find myself looking forward to the warmer weather and the spring flowers popping through the snow. I usually look forward to Easter too, but that is still a ways away.  I love this time of year.  Spring is around the corner and everything becomes new again. The trees start to blossom and the flowers start to poke their heads out of the snow.  This morning I actually heard the birds again.

March is still cold around here  but you can still sense that the winter is coming to an end. How can I tell?  Well, for one, the weather is a little warmer, the snow is melting, and the weather is totally unpredictable.  But then again I live in New England, so that can be any season.

The warmer weather for my family means starting to prepare the opening of my father's cabin on the lake around the corner.  It also mean my husband and boys can't wait to get the boat in the water.  Then there is opening day for fishing.  There's  a lot to do: clean the cabin, pick up the pine needles, un-wrap the boat, and put the water back on.  That's not including, the the spring cleaning that needs to be done at my house.

I forget, why do I look forward to spring?  Oh yeah, I remember, because when it's done it's done and summer is around the corner and  I get to enjoy fishing with my boys, reading a book on the pond, or working on my WIP, and socializing with great friends all weekend.  Not to mention the big fires roasting marshmallows on a cool spring night or summer.

What do you look forward to with the warmer weather?  Share with me, I'll be getting my boots out and stomping in the spring showers!
